The 19th International Conference “Aviation and Cosmonautics” at Moscow Aviation Institute has come to an end. This year, due to the acute epidemiological situation, the conference was held online. The plenary session on the topic "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles" was conducted on Tuesday, November 24.
Mikhail Pogosyan, rector of Moscow Aviation Institute, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Andrey Shibitov, director for innovation of the Russian Helicopters Holding, Mikhail Kanevsky, executive director of IANS, Natalia Erdem, project management director of the National Technology Initiative (NTI), and other experts made presentations to the audience.
During two days (November 25 and 26) the breakout sessions of the conference “Aviation and Cosmonautics” were conducted. The representatives of science and industry shared their experience and identified various ways to solve current problems in the areas:
The international conference "Aviation and Cosmonautics", traditionally held by MAI annually in November, attracts more than 800 participants. This year the program of the event for the first time consisted of three online conferences on topics, correlating with the strategic directions of development of Moscow Aviation Institute: "Composite Materials and Constructions", "Mathematical Modelling" and" Unmanned Aerial Vehicles".
The international conference “Aviation and Cosmonautics” materials are published in Russian and English. Therefore, the conference materials are available not only to the participants, but also to partners in Russia and abroad, which allows to expand the geography of the event from year to year, determine the "growth points" of industry and high-tech technologies, and find new ways and tools for system interaction between the representatives of the aerospace industry.
